Story
Hello!
As President & CEO of A Better Way, I am SO EXCITED to be joining our organization's charity team for the 2024 SF Marathon. We will have runners, and walkers entering different events and covering various distances. But we will all be together in our cause.
Every dollar we raise will support the needs of Bay Area children and families who are in - or at risk of entering - the Child Welfare System. For 18 years, I have seen first hand what a difference A Better Way makes. And you can help us do even more.
Please support our team - and our area's children - by making a secure online donation and by posting a message of support.
A Better Way is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and its services include mental health care for children, foster care, adoption, parent advocacy, family strengthening, and community training. One of my favorite things we do is hire parents who successfully completed reunified with their kids. We support them to become full time professional mentors to other parents in that situation. That is just one of the innovative strategies we use to promote the healing of children, families, communities, and systems.
I will be running the 10K, along with other supporters of A Better Way as we try to raise $5,000 for our agency.

A Better Way is a San Francisco Bay Area 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides the highest quality services to children in - or at risk of entering - foster care, and their families, with the goal of establishing loving and lasting relationships.
We provide services free of charge including mental health care for children, foster care/adoption services, parent advocacy and family strengthening, as well as no-fee classes for parents (birth or foster) and professionals in the child welfare field.
Our mission: A Better Way empowers children and families to develop the insights, life skills, and permanent relationships that promote their social, emotional, educational and economic well-being.
